About the Role:

Access Medical is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant to Medical Biller to join our team in Burbank, CA! This is a fantastic opportunity to break into the healthcare billing industry and grow your career alongside experienced professionals in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist medical billing specialists with data entry, claims submission, and billing documentation

Review and verify patient information for accuracy and completeness

Support the processing of insurance claims and follow up on outstanding balances

Help maintain organized billing records and patient accounts in billing software

Communicate with insurance companies and patients regarding billing inquiries

Assist with posting payments, adjustments, and denials to patient accounts

Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and company billing policies

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in medical billing or coding is a plus

Basic understanding of medical billing, CPT/ICD-10 codes, or insurance processes preferred

Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and willingness to learn billing software

Excellent organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism
