Qualifications: Previous caregiving experience is preferred but not required. First Aid and CPR certification is required for all caregivers within 30 days of employment. Candidates must be dependable, friendly and able to adapt to different situations. Candidates should have excellent attention to detail and be able to work independently. Must be friendly, dependable, caring and get along well with others. Background check required for all employees.

This person provides home care services to a client in the client’s personal residence. Caregivers provide non-medical services and assist with activities of daily living. Services can include, but are not limited to, housekeeping, shopping, cooking and meal preparation, laundry, personal care and companionship.

Reports to: Staffing Coordinator

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide assistance that is not medical in nature, but is based upon assisting the client in meeting the demands of living independently and maintaining a personal residence, such as companionship, cleaning, laundry, shopping, meal preparation, dressing and bathing assistance.

Services will be provided in accordance with the policies and procedures of Assisting Hands and the service arrangements determined in the contract.

Report changes and observations of client functioning to the Referral Coordinator

Complete all appropriate record documentation.

Abides by the agency’s infection control policies, including proper hand washing techniques consistent with CDC Guidelines.

Abides by all policies and procedures outlined in the agency’s Policy and Procedure Manual, Caregiver Handbook, and Caregiver Training Manual.

Hours: Dependent on assignment;

Shifts available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week and based on availability.

FLSA Status: Non-exempt, Up To 14.00$
