Qualifications:
Dependable person who takes responsibility seriously and has great concern for the overall wellbeing of the senior community
Demonstrate understanding and practical competency of the needs described in the client’s care plan
Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication
Reliable smartphone with comprehension of mobile app usage
At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States
Reliable transportation to and from South Orange County (San Clemente, Dana Point, Rancho Mission Viejo, Laguna Niguel, etc.)
Proof of auto insurance
Successful completion of California Caregiver Training course
Home Care Aide (HCA) registered with California Department of Social Services
CPR Certification
Negative TB Test
Proof of COVID 19 Vaccinations + Booster (If applicable)

Responsibilities:
Companionship by providing stimulating conversation and pleasant interactions
Assisting with personal care such as walking and moving around, dressing, basic physical therapy
Light housekeeping tasks and food preparations with nutritional value
Transportation to activities outside of the home such as errands and appointments
General medication and medical appointment reminders
Ensure ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) are being completed and noted in the AxisCare mobile app
Report any incidents directly to the office staff and notate in the AxisCare mobile app
Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergencies

Why We Need You:
We are looking for an energetic female caregiver to assist a female client in San Clemente. The client predominantly uses a wheelchair to get around with daily tasks mostly consisting of errands outside of the home including going to the local stores and exercises at the pool. The shifts are weekly on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 11am - 7pm. The caregiver must provide their own vehicle. Mileage reimbursment is included in your bi-weekly pay.
You, the caregiver, are the heart of our business at Assisting Hands Dana Point and play an important role in the senior community. We encourage and reward caregiving excellence with above average compensation of $18.00 – $22.00/hour. We also provide training, flexible scheduling, mileage reimbursement, performance incentives and opportunities for growth.
