Description: This position has primary responsibility for staffing and scheduling services for Assisting Hands®. The Staffing Coordinator matches caregivers with clients and coordinates caregiver schedules. This position involves extensive telephone work and interaction with caregivers, clients, and health care professionals. The Staffing Coordinator also responds to inquiries from prospective clients.
Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday
Education: High School Diploma/GED required; CNA in good standing preferred, but not required.
Qualifications: Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills. Must be well-organized and have good attention to detail. This position requires at least 2 years of experience in staffing or customer service in a health care setting. Experience in senior service setting preferred. Must be a good problem solver and able to work independently.

Compensation: $22/hour
Primary Duties:
This position involves extensive telephone work and interaction with caregivers, clients, and health care professionals.
Matches appropriate caregivers to cases based on personality, availability, and skill set.
Makes sure that all cases are covered and arranges for substitute/back-up coverage as necessary.
Handles/resolves caregiver issues, problems and scheduling changes.
Provides information about services to prospective clients.
Responsible for maintaining client files and keeping them up to date.
Responsible for verifying authorization of services with payors.
Serves as the point of contact for clients, caregivers and case managers
Counsels caregivers regarding attendance or performance issues.
Works closely with Administrators to ensure that hours and pay rates are correct for payroll and billing rates are appropriate for invoicing.
Participates in on-call rotation if needed.
Additional Responsibilities:

Upload new client docs, both paper and e-sign
(This should be fairly limited, as docs are increasingly more electronic)
Insurance
Double check relevant shifts for checked-off ADLs
Submit invoices for Long-Term-Care users
Submit Home Align claims or whatever they’re called
Check VA client hours for exactness
Ongoing caregiver credentials
EDL checks, OIG checks, CNA checks
Upload submitted documents (ID, TB, CPR)
Run background checks on those who are legit
Chase down missing docs
Recruiting
Call new applicants
Schedule orientations
Reminders/confirmations for orientations
Call old applicants if needed and if quality
Pop-up tasks
Check the Google Chat for any task requests from Juliet or Sharon
Send reminders and task requests to Juliet and Sharon for their roles
