Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our growing finance team. This key leadership role will support financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate general ledger accounting activities in compliance with GAAP

Perform and review account reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

Prepare financial statements, budgets, and forecasts

Oversee payroll processing, tax filings, and regulatory compliance

Support revenue recognition and technical accounting initiatives

Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management

Maintain internal controls and financial reporting accuracy

Qualifications

Proven accounting experience within a construction environment

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards

Hands-on experience with QuickBooks

Experience with account reconciliation, financial analysis, and regulatory reporting

Knowledge of payroll processing and revenue recognition

Strong organizational and analytical skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

Excellent communication skills

Preferred

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Supervisory or leadership experience

Experience supporting audits
