  • Responsibilities

    Well established electrical contractor seeks experienced Assistant Project Managers with low voltage/utility experience. 

    The Electrical Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing electrical construction projects. This role helps ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract documents and quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist the Project Manager with day-to-day management of electrical construction projects

    • Help coordinate schedules, manpower, materials, and equipment

    • Review project drawings, specifications, and contract documents

    • Track project costs, budgets, and change orders

    • Prepare and maintain submittals, RFIs, and project documentation

    • Coordinate with field supervisors, electricians, engineers, and other trades

    • Assist with procurement of materials and subcontractor coordination

    • Attend project meetings and assist with meeting minutes and follow-ups

    • Support jobsite safety compliance and company safety policies

    • Assist with project closeout, including as-builts and O&M manuals

    Required Qualifications

    • Experience in electrical construction or project coordination

    • Basic understanding of electrical systems and construction processes

    • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications

    • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera, or similar)

    • Strong organizational and communication skills

    • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Journeyman electrician background or electrical field experience

    • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field

    • Experience with commercial or industrial electrical projects

    • Familiarity with estimating, scheduling, and cost tracking

    Work Environment

    • Combination of office and jobsite work

    • Regular interaction with field crews, clients, and subcontractors
