You will work closely with our senior partners and associates, conduct legal research, draft documents, and maintain client files. Responsibilities: • Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior associate attorneys to provide legal advice • Assist clients in determining a proper solution to legal conflicts and determine the best course of action • Resolve cases efficiently by using communicating effectively with and working alongside senior attorneys and paralegals • Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff • Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings Qualifications: • Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school • Candidates must have passed the bar exam • Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients • Active membership with the American Bar Association (ABA) • Prepared to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base • Prepared to learn and/or share knowledge and experience to meet client needs and grow client base • Licensed and in good standing in Texas • Minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation and transactional work • Experience in business and/or real estate law required • Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills • Ability to independently manage matters and deadlines • Professional demeanor and strong client-relations skills • Motivated, proactive, and growth-oriented mindset Compensation: $102,000- $120,000 yearly
