Cole Law Firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with experience in estate planning and probate to join our growing practice in Niceville, Florida. This position is ideal for an attorney who is comfortable meeting directly with clients, managing their own caseload, and moving matters forward with a high degree of independence and personal responsibility. The attorney in this role will work directly with clients to design estate plans, draft estate planning documents such as wills, revocable trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives, and manage probate administrations from start to finish. This role is best suited for an attorney who is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing files independently while maintaining strong communication with clients and the court. Because estate matters often arise during emotionally sensitive times, the ideal candidate is calm, professional, and able to guide clients through complex situations with clarity and care. Responsibilities: The attorney hired for this role will work directly with clients and handle matters including: • Meeting with clients to design estate plans • Drafting wills, revocable trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives • Drafting probate pleadings and filings • Managing probate administrations from start to finish • Communicating with personal representatives, beneficiaries, and the court • Maintaining organized files and moving matters forward without constant supervision As the practice grows, there may also be opportunities to assist with contested or litigated probate matters. Initially, this position will be self-supported without a dedicated paralegal or legal assistant, so strong organization and independence are important. Qualifications: • 2–5 years of legal experience required • Florida Bar license in good standing • Prior experience with estate planning or probate matters • Strong drafting and client communication skills • Ability to manage files independently Compensation: $80,000 - $120,000 yearly
