They should be capable of managing cases, attending necessary court proceedings, and seamlessly collaborating with both senior partners and administrative staff. Being a strong communicator is crucial, as the role involves frequent interactions within the team and with clients. The candidate will be working with prosecutors and opposing counsel to resolve cases. Responsibilities: • Manage and represent clients in criminal cases in both Magistrate and General Sessions courts. • Collaborate closely with the Managing Attorney and other team members. • Draft, review, and finalize pleadings, briefs, and motions. • Review and analyze discovery. • Provide strategic advice to clients, ensuring their best interests are always at the forefront. • Represent clients in court, presenting arguments and motions as necessary. • Handle administrative tasks related to client invoicing, billing, and meeting setups. • Working with prosecutors and opposing counsel. Qualifications: • Must hold a valid South Carolina legal license. • Ideally, has at least one (1) year of experience in criminal law, but a candidate without experience will be provided training. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Detail-oriented, conscientious, and holds oneself to the highest professional standards. • Must be able to work without needing much guidance. Compensation: $70,000 - $95,000 yearly
