Duties:
Work in the Dallas office, but handle litigation in multiple counties
Litigate cases in court, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs
Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies
Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
Represent clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings
Attend depositions, hearings, and trials
draft questions for depositions
defend clients in depositions
prepare arguments for hearings, pre-trial matters
draft questions for trial witnesses
draft pre-trial documents
serve as first or second chair in trial
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the case
Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Admission to the Texas State Bar Association for more than 2 years
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent research and analytical abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
manage daily tasks related to a litigation docket
manage and oversee a litigation calendar
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Prior experience in litigation and negotiation is preferred
