B. Pleasant Law is seeking full-time Associate Attorneys to join our growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated legal matters across a variety of practice areas while receiving the level of support appropriate to your experience. New attorneys will benefit from hands-on mentorship, training, and courtroom exposure, while seasoned attorneys will have the opportunity to independently manage complex matters, contribute to firm strategy, mentor junior attorneys, and help shape the continued growth of the firm. Responsibilities include advising clients, conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, contracts, and other legal documents, managing case files, appearing in court, negotiating on behalf of clients, and maintaining consistent communication with clients throughout their matters. Attorneys will collaborate closely with our legal team to develop effective strategies that protect clients' interests and uphold the firm's commitment to excellence. Responsibilities: • Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently • Create legal documents, including correspondence, briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings • Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients • Organize and maintain files to ensure accuracy for other attorneys, paralegals, and staff • Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys Qualifications: • Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school • Candidates must have passed the bar exam • Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients • Active membership with the American Bar Association (ABA) • Prepared to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base Prepared to learn and/or share knowledge and experience to meet client needs and grow client baseLicensed and in good standing in TexasMinimum of 3 years of experience in litigation and transactional workExperience in business and/or real estate law requiredStrong writing, analytical, and organizational skillsAbility to independently manage matters and deadlinesProfessional demeanor and strong client-relations skillsMotivated, proactive, and growth-oriented mindsetEntry-Level Attorneys: Demonstrated work ethic, eagerness to learn, strong academic credentials, internships, clerkships, or relevant legal experience.Experienced Attorneys: Three or more years of litigation and/or transactional experience, demonstrated ability to manage cases independently, mentor junior attorneys, and contribute to business development is a plus. Compensation: $102,000- $120,000 yearly
