PA Sechler Law Firm, LLC., is seeking a dedicated and experienced Associate Attorney with 5–7 years of experience in estate planning, probate, and elder law to join our growing legal team. This attorney will handle a variety of matters related to wills, trusts, estate administration, and guardianships, with direct client contact and significant responsibility from day one. Medicaid planning experience is a plus, but not required. The ideal candidate is a confident legal professional who brings both technical proficiency and compassionate client service to the table. You should be comfortable working independently, managing your own caseload, and collaborating closely with the managing attorney and legal staff. Public speaking and educational outreach are integral to the role, as the associate will regularly conduct group presentations to educate potential clients and community members on the importance of estate planning. Responsibilities: • Draft and review estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives, tailored to clients’ needs. • Manage probate and estate administration matters in the Pennsylvania Orphans’ Court system, including inheritance tax filings and asset distribution. • Conduct group presentations and educational workshops on estate planning and elder law topics to prospective clients and community organizations. • Maintain detailed and accurate case records using the firm’s case management system. • Provide excellent client service through clear communication, timely follow-up, and a respectful, empathetic approach to sensitive family issues. • Collaborate with team members on legal strategy, workflow efficiency, and client development initiatives. • Stay up to date with Pennsylvania estate, probate, and elder law developments. Qualifications: • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. • Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and in good standing. • 5–7 years of legal experience with a strong focus on estate planning, probate, and elder law. • Knowledge of Pennsylvania inheritance tax laws and Orphans’ Court procedures. • Excellent legal drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Strong public speaking skills and the ability to explain complex legal topics in an engaging and understandable way. • Client-focused mindset with the ability to build trust and rapport with aging clients and their families. • Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple matters efficiently. • Familiarity with elder law planning tools such as special needs trusts, long-term care strategies, and guardianship proceedings is a plus.
