We are seeking an Associate Attorney for our domestic law division, with one or more years of experience in family law, and additional experience in probate law is a plus. The ideal candidate will manage non-complex and complex domestic cases from inception, drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and representing clients in court at trial and mediation. The ideal candidate will also be an experienced, tactful litigator. Responsibilities: • Client meetings, including initial consultations • Drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, and court orders in matters involving divorce, child custody, child support, legitimation, modifications, and contempt • Developing tactful litigation strategies based on versatile client objectives • Negotiating settlement agreements • Understanding and applying Georgia law, including local court rules, state statutes, and rules of evidence • Manage assigned cases from inception to closure • Interact and delegate select tasks to assigned support staff • Handle probate cases, including estate administration, will contests, guardianships/conservatorships, and related litigation • Exhibit empathy, professionalism, and discretion in handling emotionally charged matters • Participate in firm meetings, trainings, and client development initiatives as needed Qualifications: • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school • Active license to practice law in the state of Georgia • 2 + years of family law experience preferred (will consider strong candidates with relevant litigation or clerkship experience) • Strong legal research, writing, and courtroom advocacy skills • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines with attention to detail • Demonstrated compassion, professionalism, and discretion in client interactions • Proficiency in case management and legal billing software is a plus Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000
