Job Description
The ideal candidate will manage criminal case clients and resolve legal disputes all across the Commonwealth of Kentucky. They will perform legal research, draft legal motions and memorandums, negotiate deals with prosecutors, hold preliminary and suppression hearings, as well as jury trials (once ready) and advocate for clients in District, Circuit and Federal Courts on a daily basis across the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The candidate will foster strong client relationships and provide an excellent customer experience for the firm's clients. This job requires a LOT of travel to different county and the occasional Federal courthouses across the Commonwealth. Mileage is compensated at the Commonwealth's rate.
Criminal defense or prosecution experience is preferred and will net a higher base salary, if present.
Responsibilities
• Provide Legal Support to Clients and Assist other Attorneys
• Maintain Client Relationships
• Draft Legal Motions and Memorandums
• Attend Court Hearings via Zoom and In Person on a Daily Basis
Qualifications
• Admission to the Practice of Law in Kentucky
• Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills
• Strong Legal Knowledge
• Interest in Criminal Law
