Our new Attorney will support a growing law practice and interact with clients, attorneys, judges, medical providers, and other legal professionals as needed. To be a part of our team, it is recommended that you have some personal injury experience, both litigation and pre-litigation. Compensation: $100,000 - $150,000 based on years of experience, skill level, production and bonus opportunities Responsibilities: A typical day for this position may include any of the following: • Supervising paralegals and legal assistants to ensure tasks assigned through our case management system are completed. • Communicating with clients with empathy and openness about their cases. • Developing case strategy and executing that strategy. • Review medical records and reports. • Providing final edits and approval to demand packages. • Interacting and negotiating with insurance companies. • Research and writing support for pleadings, motions and briefs in litigated cases in state and federal court. • Review and approve discovery drafts and requests. • Participation in depositions, mediations, and trials. Qualifications: • Active Bar License in Missouri (both Missouri & Kansas preferred). • Minimum of 3-5 years in a legal practice with litigation experience (2-3 years experience in personal injury preferred). • Experience in working directly with clients and addressing their needs. • Experience in drafting pleadings, discovery documents, and correspondence. • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Acrobat DC, case management software (Filevine experience is a BIG plus), and research tools.
