You will work closely with our senior partners and associates, conduct legal research, draft documents, and maintain client files. Responsibilities: • Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients • Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently • Perform legal research, prepare for and attend hearings or other legal proceedings, and give general counsel under the supervision of senior associate attorneys • Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff • Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings Qualifications: • Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school • Candidates must have passed the bar exam • Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients • Prepared to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base • Active membership with the American Bar Association (ABA) Who We’re Looking For You might be a great fit if you: • Take initiative and don’t wait to be told what to do • Are comfortable independently researching, learning, and problem-solving • Care deeply about clients and treat everyone with respect (clients, staff, opposing counsel, judges) • Are excited about litigation and being in court when needed • Want mentorship but don’t rely on hand-holding • Believe excellent lawyers can also be excellent human beings Compensation: $89,000 yearly
