Our law firm is looking for the next associate attorney to assist in providing legal counsel to clients. You will work closely with our senior partners and associates, conduct legal research, draft documents, and maintain client files. If you’ve recently graduated from law school, have excellent fact-finding and communication skills, and are ready to jump-start your career in the legal industry, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities: • Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients • Resolve cases efficiently by using communicating effectively with and working alongside senior attorneys and paralegals • Create legal documents, including correspondence, briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings • Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys • Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals and support staff Qualifications: • Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving skills needed in order to work with all levels of staff and our clients • Candidates must have passed the bar exam • Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school • Active membership with the American Bar Association (ABA) • Prepared to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base 2+ years of experience working in the field of Family Law.Experience in legal research and drafting legal documents.Ability to attend court hearings and other legal proceedings.Strong analytical skills to review client issues and determine the best course of action.Proven track record of collaborating effectively with clients and senior associates.Excellent organizational skills to maintain and update client files efficiently and accurately. Compensation: $89,000 yearly
