Associate Attorney - Probate & Estate Planning

We are a well-established boutique firm practicing Probate Litigation and Administration, Estate Planning, and Elder Law (Guardianships and Conservatorships). Responsibilities: • Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action • Prepare wills, trusts, and power of attorney documents • Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process • Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed • Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current • Guide clients through the probate process, ensuring clarity and confidence at every step. (This includes guardianships and conservatorships). • Represent clients in probate litigation, advocating for their interests with diligence and integrity. • Draft, review, and finalize legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Colorado laws. • Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and provide informed counsel. • Work closely with our team to foster a supportive and collaborative environment, enhancing client outcomes. • Participate in community outreach to educate and empower individuals about estate planning and elder law issues. Qualifications: • Understanding of a variety of real estate matters, including title insurance, wills and trusts, property management, and litigation • Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required • Excellent communication skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations • Experience at a legal firm working on estate planning and probate law issues for at least 1-2 years is required • Knowledge of case management software programs, particularly Smokeball, is a plus. Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 yearly
