We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Probate and Estate Planning and have experience with Tax and Guardianships. This role requires excellent research and writing skills, as well as the ability to manage legal administrative tasks effectively. The Attorney will represent clients in legal proceedings, provide legal advice, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal counsel to clients on matters related to Florida Probate and Estate Planning.
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, motions, pleadings, and briefs.
- Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations with opposing parties.
- Maintain accurate records of case progress and client communications.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff within the law office to ensure comprehensive case management.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may affect client cases or the practice area.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Member in good standing with the Florida bar.
- Proven experience in Florida Probate and Estate Planning is required.
- Experience in Tax Law and Guardianships preferred.
- Strong research skills with the ability to analyze complex legal issues effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting documents and interacting with clients.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
Pay is commensurate on experience.
