You will work closely with our senior partners and associates, conduct legal research, draft documents, and maintain client files. Responsibilities: • Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior associate attorneys to provide legal advice • Draft documents such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts to be used proceedings and contract negotiations • Collaborate with clients and senior associates and other staff to move cases toward resolution efficiently • Assist clients in determining a proper solution to legal conflicts and determine the best course of action • Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals and support staff • Attend depositions, mediations, and other matters. • Handle client matters from start to finish, with limited supervision by senior attorneys or partners. Qualifications: • Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients • Willingness to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base • Applicants must have successfully passed the state bar exam • Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school • Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA) • Must be a member of the Georgia Bar in good standing. • Experience in bankruptcy or commercial litigation of at least 1-2 years is required. Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 yearly
