    Rountree Leitman Klein & Geer, LLC, a boutique law firm in Atlanta, Georgia, focusing on bankruptcy, commercial litigation, and debtor/creditor matters, is seeking an Associate Attorney with one to two years of experience in bankruptcy or litigation. The ideal candidate will have strong research and writing skills, courtroom experience or a desire to develop trial skills, and the ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment. Associates at our firm receive hands-on experience in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, adversary proceedings, state and federal court litigation, and creditor representation, with significant client contact and courtroom opportunities early in their careers. We offer a collegial atmosphere, competitive compensation, and the chance to build a sophisticated practice alongside experienced bankruptcy and litigation practitioners. Candidates must be admitted to the State Bar of Georgia or eligible for admission. Responsibilities: • Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior associate attorneys to provide legal advice • Draft documents such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts to be used proceedings and contract negotiations • Collaborate with clients and senior associates and other staff to move cases toward resolution efficiently • Assist clients in determining a proper solution to legal conflicts and determine the best course of action • Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals and support staff • Attend depositions, mediations, and other matters. • Handle client matters from start to finish, with limited supervision by senior attorneys or partners. Qualifications: • Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients • Willingness to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base • Applicants must have successfully passed the state bar exam • Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school • Must be a member of the Georgia Bar in good standing. • Experience in bankruptcy or commercial litigation of at least 1-2 years is required. Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 yearly
