Responsibilities: • Manage an assigned caseload from inception through resolution • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery demands and responses, and legal correspondence • Conduct legal research and prepare cases for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials • Take and defend depositions, including plaintiff depositions • Appear in court for conferences, hearings, and motion practice as needed • Communicate with clients regarding case strategy, status, and resolution options • Collaborate closely with the supervising attorney and paralegal to move cases efficiently • Maintain organized and up-to-date case files Qualifications: • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school • Admission to the New York State Bar, with good standing • Minimum of six months of hands-on experience handling personal injury cases • Proven ability to manage a caseload from inception through resolution • Experience in drafting pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence • Strong skills in conducting legal research and preparing cases for hearings and trials • Ability to take and defend depositions, including plaintiff depositions, confidently and effectively in a courtroom setting Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 annually
