    Are you a recent law school graduate looking to work with experienced attorneys and paralegals who will give you opportunities to further your legal career? If so, we are looking for you! Our firm is hiring an associate attorney who will support us by conducting legal research, drafting documents, maintaining client files, and assisting with legal counsel. The ideal candidate will have some courtroom experience and strong legal research and writing skills. Responsibilities: • Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently • Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior associate attorneys to provide legal advice • Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff • Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action • Draft documents such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts to be used proceedings and contract negotiations • Represent clients in consumer protection matters, including FDCPA, FCRA, TILA, and DTPA cases. • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses. • Appear in court for hearings, trials, and mediations. • Provide client-focused legal advice and maintain strong communication. • Collaborate with senior attorneys and staff to deliver effective case strategies. • Continue learning and growing in practice areas connected to consumer law, debt resolution, and financial justice. Qualifications: • Applicants must have successfully passed the state bar exam • Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association) • Willingness to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base • Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients • Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000
