The ideal candidate will have some courtroom experience and strong legal research and writing skills. Responsibilities: • Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently • Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior associate attorneys to provide legal advice • Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff • Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action • Draft documents such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts to be used proceedings and contract negotiations • Represent clients in consumer protection matters, including FDCPA, FCRA, TILA, and DTPA cases. • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses. • Appear in court for hearings, trials, and mediations. • Provide client-focused legal advice and maintain strong communication. • Collaborate with senior attorneys and staff to deliver effective case strategies. • Continue learning and growing in practice areas connected to consumer law, debt resolution, and financial justice. Qualifications: • Applicants must have successfully passed the state bar exam • Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association) • Willingness to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base • Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients • Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000
