We are a resourceful, solutions-oriented, fast-paced and dynamic team that is currently seeking an Associate Attorney to join our firm.

Essential Duties:

• Draft and prepare briefs, settlement offers, discovery motions, motions for summary judgment and all trial motions
• Take and defend all levels of depositions from witnesses, parties, and experts
• Correspond with clients and the counsel for the opposing side
• Interview clients to understand their case’s details, identifying issues, and determining a strategy for settlement or trial
• Negotiate settlements with the other party’s attorney on behalf of clients
• Prepare cases for trial by interviewing witnesses, acquiring evidence, and conducting investigations
• Help clients prepare for mediation sessions or settlement conferences with opposing counsel
• Educate clients about their legal rights and responsibilities throughout the process
• Prepare and file court documents such as complaints or motions
• Represent clients in court proceedings

Required Skills and Experience:

• Licensed and in good standing with the California State bar
• At least 3 years of experience specializing in general liability or personal injury
• Trial experience is a plus
• Ability to negotiate favorable and cost-effective settlements
• Ability to manage and prioritize large and complex case load
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Excellent research and analytical skills
• Empathetic and emotionally intelligent
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
