We’re seeking a skilled Associate Attorney to manage an active caseload, guide clients through legal processes, and represent them in court, mediation, depositions, and arbitration. You’ll work alongside senior attorneys, taking lead roles in litigation and transactional matters—developing strategy, drafting pleadings and motions, and negotiating settlements. This position offers independence, trial experience, and a supportive environment where your advocacy matters. Further, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. • Advise clients across our core practice areas: Estate Planning & Trusts, Business & Real Estate Transactions, and Insurance/Professional Liability and Litigation. • Counsel clients at every stage: intake, discovery, motions, hearings, depositions, mediations, and court appearances. • Draft and file legal documents—motions, pleadings, discovery responses, correspondence, and reports—on tight deadlines. • Keep abreast of evolving federal, state, and local laws; conduct legal research; prepare internal and client-facing memoranda. • Negotiate settlements and advocate on behalf of clients in court, mediations, arbitration, and administrative forums. • Collaborate across firm teams—working with paralegals, senior attorneys, and interdisciplinary advisors. • Participate in business development: attend networking events, write blogs or client alerts, and foster new referral relationships. Qualifications: Required Education: J.D. from an accredited law school; active and good standing with the California State Bar. Experience: 1–3 years of legal experience in civil litigation, probate, estate planning, tax litigation/audits, or related fields. Litigation and trial exposure strongly preferred. Skills: • Excellent research, analytical, and legal writing abilities. • Confident oral advocacy and client-facing skills. • Proficiency with legal technology (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis, MS Office). • Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize, and work both independently and collaboratively. Mindset: Entrepreneurial, client-focused, with a team-oriented approach. Bonus (but not required): LL.M. in Taxation, CPA, or credentials in estate planning or transactional law. Full Salary Range: $120-$170 (position starting at $130,000) Compensation: $130,000
