As our firm continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced attorney to join our team and play a meaningful role in guiding clients through complex immigration matters, with opportunities to also work in family law. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with clients and senior associates and other staff to move cases toward resolution efficiently • Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior associate attorneys to provide legal advice • Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients • Draft documents such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts to be used proceedings and contract negotiations • Organize and maintain files to ensure accuracy for other attorneys, paralegals, and staff Qualifications: • Applicants must have successfully passed the state bar exam • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school • Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base • Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients • Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA) • We need an attorney who has a minimum of 5+ years of litigation experience and is comfortable in a courtroom • Licensed Florida attorney in good standing • Skills and experience are important and valued, but your personality, character, intelligence, and integrity are also extremely important considerations • Spanish speaking a plus Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000 yearly
