    How will this role impact First Command?

    We are modernizing our training function, and this position will help bring that vision to life. This role is pivotal in executing a bold transformation: integrating digital learning, AI-powered coaching, and immersive in-person academies to deliver world-class training experiences that drive performance and growth. As a delivery expert, you will partner closely with subject matter experts across sales, product, and operations to translate their deep knowledge into engaging, learner-centered programs. You will apply adult learning principles to ensure every experience is relevant, actionable, and empowering. You will also play a key role in supporting and operationalizing the team's strategic vision—bringing structure, innovation, and excellence to every aspect of training delivery.

    What will the employee do in this role?

    • Execute Modern Training Delivery: Deliver high-impact learning experiences across digital platforms, virtual facilitation, in-person academies, and AI coaching tools.
    • Translate SME Expertise into Learning Journeys: Collaborate with subject matter experts to transform complex knowledge into engaging, learner-friendly formats.
    • Apply Adult Learning Principles: Ensure all training experiences are grounded in proven methodologies that prioritize relevance, interactivity, and real-world application.
    • Support Strategic Execution: Partner with the team to operationalize and evolve the training delivery strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
    • Modernize Delivery Infrastructure: Help implement and optimize digital learning tools, virtual facilitation platforms, and AI-enhanced coaching systems.
    • Measure and Improve Impact: Use data and learner feedback to refine delivery quality, engagement, and business outcomes continuously.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with instructional design, product, sales enablement, and tech teams to ensure seamless integration of content and delivery.

    **What skills & qualification does the person in this role need? **

    Education

    • Bachelor’s Degree (REQUIRED) in Finance or Financial Planning Specialization (PREFERRED)

    Work Experience

    • 5 years relevant experience to include: Large Group Instruction, Training, Teaching, and Financial Planning (8 years PREFERRED)

    Certifications

    • APTD (Associate Professional in Talent Development), CPTD (Certified Professional in Talent Development, OLC’s IDP (offered by the Online Learning Consortium (OLC), the Instructional Designer Certificate Program (IDP)) (PREFERRED)
    • Certified Financial Planner® (CFP) or Chartered Financial Consultant (CHFC) (PREFERRED)

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Proven experience in corporate training environments, ideally within fast-paced, high-growth organizations undergoing transformation
    • Expertise in adult learning theory, instructional delivery, and facilitation—both in-person and virtual
    • Strong ability to synthesize SME knowledge into actionable, learner-centered formats
    • Experience implementing digital learning platforms, virtual facilitation tools, and AI coaching technologies
    • Strategic thinking with strong operational execution
    • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
    • Comfort with ambiguity and a passion for building the new
    • Experience launching training academies or certification programs
    • Familiarity with AI coaching platforms or adaptive learning technologies
    • Background in sales enablement or product training
    • Passion for learner empowerment and transformation
    • Must be able to simultaneously manage & prioritize multiple projects at various stages of completion
    • Demonstrated expertise in adult learning principles and instructional design, combined with a strong sense of urgency and a practical understanding of how organizations operate. A sample portfolio of work is needed.

  • Qualifications
    • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent or ten (10) years equivalent work experience.
    • Some post-secondary education is preferred.
    • Must be able to learn and apply a variety of software applications.
    • Must have accurate keyboarding skills.
    • Prior experience in a retail service environment to include cash handling and member service preferred.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the partner is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
    • The partner is frequently required to walk and sit. The partner is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
    • The partner must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
