    A leading national labor and employment law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with 3+ years of experience to join its Memphis office. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level litigator looking to grow their employment law practice under the mentorship of nationally recognized partners and in a collaborative, hybrid work environment.

    About the Role:

    As an Employment Litigation Associate, you will join a team of accomplished attorneys handling litigation matters from inception to resolution. This includes drafting and responding to pleadings, managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, and participating in mediations. You’ll also work closely with clients on day-to-day employment law challenges, including policy development, training, compliance, and risk management.

    While prior experience in employment law is preferred, the firm welcomes applicants with strong general litigation backgrounds who demonstrate a sincere interest in labor and employment law and possess exceptional legal writing, analytical, and communication skills.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Serve as part of a litigation team managing cases from start to finish

    • Draft pleadings, discovery requests/responses, motions, and legal memoranda

    • Take and defend depositions

    • Argue motions and participate in mediations

    • Counsel clients on employment-related matters, policies, and compliance strategies

    • Contribute to client training and educational webinars using innovative legal technology platforms

    Ideal Candidate Profile:

    • 3+ years of substantive litigation experience (employment law preferred but not required)

    • Experience managing discovery, drafting pleadings, and arguing motions

    • Excellent academic credentials and strong legal writing and research skills

    • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines

    • Collaborative, growth-oriented mindset and commitment to team culture

    • JD from an ABA-accredited law school

    • Admission to the Tennessee Bar (required)
