    The preferred candidate will possess the following (minimum) skill sets:

    • Technical communication (MS Excel/MSWord/MS PowerPoint)
    • Demonstrated mechanical design creativity and innovation
    • Mechanical analysis (applied theory)
    • 3D CAD (AUTODESK Inventor, Dassault SOLIDWORKS, or equivalent)
    • Prototype fabrication (welding/fastening/machining/assembly)
    • Development and execution of testing requirements

    The Associate Engineer will provide direct design engineering support within the above functions that includes:

    • Engineer new and update existing product design standards and engage with senior engineering, manufacturing, sales, and supply chain departments to standardize engineering, product design, and related manufacturing processes
    • Perform quality control testing of new products and engineering designs to check for manufacturability, strength, efficiency, and economic viability
    • Collaborate with Structural Engineers, architects, sales reps, and general contractors to determine engineering strategies, objectives, and benchmarks, and evaluate product design, present information for delivery to clients
    • Consult with compliance agencies (NSF, UL, ETL, IBC) to keep products compliant and communicate required changes and updates to all departments internally
    • Work with counterpart product engineers to get engineering prints stamped as required by codes pertaining to different regions
