    Summary

    The Associate HR Business Partner supports HR leadership by providing day-to-day HR support to department leaders and employees within a corporate collections call center environment. This role partners closely with the SVP of HR, Senior HR Business Partners, and external partners to support HR operations, employee relations, and talent processes across the employee lifecycle.

    This position is designed as an early-career HR Business Partner role, with exposure to both tactical HR operations and foundational business partnering responsibilities. The role is intentionally structured to develop into a full HR Business Partner position as experience, capability, and business acumen grow.

    Essential Functions

    HR Operations & Administration

    • Provide day-to-day HR support across onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, and personnel records.
    • Maintain accurate employee data in HR systems; ensure documentation is complete and compliant.
    • Support audits, reporting, and HR data requests.
    • Assist with HR inbox management and employee inquiries, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.

    Employee Relations & Manager Support

    • Provide first-line HR guidance to employees and people leaders on routine employee relations questions, escalating complex matters as appropriate.
    • Assist with documentation, investigations support, and case management under the direction of senior HR leadership.
    • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in all HR matters.

    Business Partner Support

    • Support HR leadership in partnering with call center leaders on performance management, attendance, engagement, and workforce needs.
    • Assist with the execution of performance management cycles and employee development initiatives.
    • Support change management and communications related to HR programs and policies.

    Recruitment & Onboarding

    • Coordinate recruitment activities including job postings, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.
    • Support offer letter preparation, pre-employment processes, and new hire orientation.
    • Partner with hiring managers and HR leadership to ensure a positive candidate and new hire experience.

    HR Programs & Initiatives

    • Assist in the execution of HR programs related to engagement, training, compliance, and culture.
    • Support internal HR communications and program tracking.
    • Collect feedback and assist with continuous improvement of HR processes.

    Learning & Development (Growth-Oriented)

    • Build foundational knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and business operations in a call center environment.
    • Participate in shadowing, coaching, and development opportunities with senior HR leaders.
    • Gradually take on increased responsibility and complexity as skills and confidence develop.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
    • 2 to 4 years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, or a related HR role preferred.
    • Call center or high-volume operations environment experience preferred.
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and comfort learning HRIS systems.
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
    • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
    • Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills.
    • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
    • Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check per client requirements.
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
