    THE OPPORTUNITY
    We are seeking an Associate **** HR Consultant, who will deliver hands-on HR support to small and mid-sized business clients across a range of functions, including recruitment, compliance, employee relations, compensation, benefits and leave administration, training, and performance management. Working under the guidance of senior consultants and directors, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to clients while developing your consulting and strategic HR capabilities.

    This client-facing role is ideal for an experienced HR generalist (2–4 years) who is proactive, adaptable, and eager to grow in a dynamic consulting environment. In addition to core responsibilities, this position includes the opportunity to earn commission for supporting business development activities including seeking, selling and retaining clients that contribute to firm growth. All Consultants are responsible for prospecting and generating new accounts in a business-to-business setting to generate new revenue.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Partner with our team and clients to provide day-to-day best HR practices supporting across a variety of functions, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
    • Assist with compensation benchmarking, HR audits, compliance assessments, and employee engagement initiatives.
    • Support employee investigations, disciplinary processes, and sensitive workplace matters.
    • Collaborate with clients to create and implement effective HR policies, handbooks, and best practices.
    • Assist in delivering training sessions and employee development programs.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of multi-state employment laws and HR trends to ensure clients remain compliant.
    • Support or lead portions of client projects under the direction of senior team members.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their business needs and HR priorities.
    • Contribute to business development by identifying potential client leads, participating in sales calls or networking events, and referring new business—eligible for commission based on contributions.
    • Maintain accurate client documentation and ensure timely follow-up and communication.
    • Provide support in developing recruitment strategies, seeking out passive candidates, and screening and interviewing candidates.
    • Identify leads, manage prospects, and acquire new business.
    • Prepare and deliver sales proposals/presentations and follow up with key decision makers.
    • Utilize the company's CRM, schedule and document activities, and develop prospective customer profiles.
    • Complete required client agreements, reports, and other paperwork in a timely manner and in accordance with Company policy.
    • Regularly meet with supervisor to review all weekly activities, progress on goals, and status of prospective/current clients.

    WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO OUR COMPANY

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources Management, or a related field is required.
    • A minimum of 2-4 years' professional level human resources experience required.
    • Current, or in process, professional certification in the field of Human Resources such as PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM–SCP is preferred.
    • Experience in employee relations, benefits administration, compensation, organizational development, training, recruitment and strategic support.
    • Previous relevant business development experience including networking a plus.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats, including sales presentations.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products.
    • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
    • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and self-manage daily workload, seeking help when needed.

    WHAT OUR COMPANY IS PROVIDING

    • Compensation hiring range $65,000 - $80,000
    • Non-exempt role, overtime eligible.
    • Bonus, profit-sharing, and commission potential.
    • Enrollment in company 401K plan and employer matching 100% up to the first 4% of pay that you contribute.

    • Typical work schedule is Monday – Friday (8am - 5pm).
