Job Summary We are seeking an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) to join our team of mental health professionals. The Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) will provide therapeutic services to clients under the supervision of a licensed clinician. This role involves conducting individual, couples, family, and group therapy sessions, maintaining clinical documentation, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support client wellness and progress.
Responsibilities:
Provide psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and/or groups.
Complete intake assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in a timely manner.
Maintain a full caseload as agreed upon with the clinical supervisor.
Participate in weekly individual or group supervision as required by the BBS.
Attend staff meetings, trainings, and case consultations.
Coordinate care with other providers and community resources as needed.
Uphold ethical and legal standards as mandated by state law and professional guidelines.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling Psychology, or a related field.
Current California AMFT registration with the BBS (Board of Behavioral Sciences).
Experience or strong interest in working with [e.g., trauma, children, couples, LGBTQIA+, etc.].
Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
Commitment to cultural humility and inclusive, client-centered care.
Must pass background check and meet insurance paneling requirements if applicable.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual or multilingual abilities.
Familiarity with EHR systems (e.g., SimplePractice, TherapyNotes).
Experience in [specific modalities like CBT, DBT, EMDR, etc.].
