Job Description
CNBC is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Associate Producer with a passion for storytelling to join our growing digital video team.
This role calls for a creative producer and skilled editor with a strong interest in visual storytelling, business news, and in-depth analysis of markets and politics. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of the American political system and the broader business landscape and is excited about transforming original reporting into compelling digital video content.
The Associate Producer will collaborate closely with reporters, producers and senior producers to craft sharp scripts and engaging videos, often on tight deadlines. Strong editorial judgment, writing ability, and editing skills are essential.
This position covers a range of content, including reporter-led news analysis, breaking news, and daily reporting, and the opportunities to contribute to mid-form investigative and documentary-style projects. Success in this role requires curiosity, a critical lens on news coverage, and an ability to identify stories that resonate with CNBC’s audience.
The ideal candidate is collaborative, adaptable, and eager to help elevate video storytelling across platforms. Candidates should have at least one year of professional experience shooting and scripting video for a digital news organization, be comfortable behind the camera, and have a strong command of Adobe Premiere. Experience with After Effects is a plus.
