Job Description
NBC News is seeking a driven Associate Producer to support our investigative unit producers on all aspects of reporting, researching, and storytelling. This associate producer will work closely with producers to pitch, develop and execute compelling journalism on a range of topics and issues, including original, enterprising and investigative reporting. Agility, versatility, and a willingness to embrace different formats, platforms and show needs is a must —from morning show storytelling to hard news evening broadcasts and streaming to native vertical video producing.
The ideal candidate is a creative journalist with sharp editorial judgment, strong writing and research skills, forward thinking with the confidence to thrive under pressure. This role is right for you if you’re a versatile storyteller who thrives on producing distinct, urgent, high impact and memorable work. You’re highly organized, competitive, and relentless about accuracy and detail—yet collaborative, adaptable, and energized by working with producers and correspondents under tight deadlines. Most importantly, you’re passionate about journalism that informs, engages, and makes a difference.
