Job Description
The Associate Producer is responsible for identifying newsworthy stories, conceptualize and produce rundowns, assists in the production of live shows, prepare, and call supers for live broadcasts. Candidates must have a strong editorial background. Candidates would need to multitask and work in a fast paced, dead-line driven environment with the willingness to work weekends, early morning shift and have flexible hours for last-minute scheduling changes. The candidate must have experience working across multiple platforms, including broadcast, streaming and digital.
Responsibilities:
Work live newscasts and special events
Assist in all aspects of production, from headline to segments, as needed.
Able to request news graphics including editorial and creative process.
Prepare and call supers and titles in a live broadcast
Newsgathering savvy. Must have social media knowledge and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Contribute to the editorial line of the day
Work in collaboration with Assignment Editors, Reporters, production crews and news digital team.
Assign and produce news briefs
Work closely with Producers and Executive Producers on story planning and coordination

Strong editorial knowledge
Proven solid writing skills. Excellent grammar.
Fully bilingual, Spanish and English proficient.
Proficient in I-News and any other system for live news production
Proficient in VIZ
Accustomed to working in a team and collaborating with all levels within the organization
Proven excellent interpersonal skills combined with a strong sense of how to visually tell a compelling story desired
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to work weekends, early morning shift and have flexible hours for last-minute scheduling changes.
