The Associate Product Development Designer will be an integral part of the Rug Development Design team.
Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Creating rug weaving specifications and designs in response to given briefs and amending designs where necessary
Quality control: analyze rug production and samples for rug weave specification accuracy
Prepare yarn cards and rug poms for client presentations
Maintaining and organizing development samples, color tools, and studio working spaces
Prepare warps and wefts, dress loom
Weave rug samples
Qualifications:
3+ years textile design / weaving experience
Graphic art / print experience
Knowledge of fabric / weave structure
Must be detail-oriented, organized and punctual
Strong problem-solving skills, organizational habits, and team player
Knowledge of computer-aided design programs (such as NedGraphics / Texcelle, and Adobe Suite)
