    Job Description

    ** Role Summary**

    Universal Products & Experiences’ Product Operations team partners closely with our global Product Design Studio to ensure timely deliverables to support the global strategies.     The Associate Project Manager, Product – Toys & Hardlines, will assist and manage multiple projects across the Product Design Studio team and will have opportunities to gain key project management skills. The role primarily partners closely with team members across the Product Design Studio, franchise strategy, brand creative, category management, retail development/marketing, legal, global asset production and global asset management groups. The role will actively participate in best-in-class culture through exceptional teamwork and active engagement in team meetings to support the organization’s operational excellence. Reports to the Project Manager, Product - Toys & Hardlines.

    Salary range: $71,000 - $90,000

    ** Essential Responsibilities:**

    • Assists the Project Manager across Toys & Hardlines and packaging design projects globally. Owns smaller-scale projects, serving as lead communicator to drive development and execution of deliverables

    • Supports the Product Design Studio team to track creative deliverables and ensures adherence to documented processes

    • Supports lead Project Manager in tracking stakeholder approvals, legal approvals, and any required third-party approvals

    • Participates in partner calls to take notes, helps to track agenda points, keeps meetings on track and on time and recaps next steps

    • Engages in vendor communication to actively drive projects forward

    • Daily work includes updating project trackers, project management tools, budget trackers, and other ad hoc reporting as needed

    • Raises workflow challenges to manager and collaborates on resolutions

    • Provides input and insight for owned projects during key meetings, including presenting work

    • Assists with planning and executing milestones related to annual programs including strategy week, line reviews and inventor program

    • Supports the budgeting process including vendor set up, PO creation and invoicing

    • Recognizes sensitivity of studio assets and follows all internal policies and guidance

    • Contributes to the advancement and actualization of Universal’s diversity, equity, and inclusion commitments

    • Additional duties as needed to meet business needs

    ** Basic Qualifications:**

    • 1+ years of professional work experience, ideally in entertainment operations
    • A team player prioritizing partnership, with the ability to follow instructions and follow through on projects
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting/competing priorities and stretch assignments
    • Effective communication, including speaking, writing and active listening as well as a professional presentation
    • Basic project management skills, including project management software, note taking, scheduling, budgeting, attention to detail, time management, prioritization and multitasking abilities. Experience in Workfront is a plus.
    • Proficient in MAC, including Keynote, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive/SharePoint, AI applications, Outlook, Excel, and Word
    • Knowledge of Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator a plus

    ** Eligibility Requirements:**

    • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
    • Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA
    • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
