    Job Description

    We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate QA Test Engineer I to join our Product Quality test team. This role is responsible for performing manual testing of intrusion detection and security system products, including system-level, module-level, and regression testing of hardware, firmware, and software solutions.

    The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on technical work, troubleshooting complex systems, and validating product performance in a laboratory environment. This position will work closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Quality teams to ensure products meet functional, performance, and reliability requirements before release.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Execute manual test procedures for software, firmware, and hardware products.
    • Perform full-system validation testing of integrated security and intrusion detection systems.
    • Conduct standalone module and component-level testing.
    • Execute regression testing to verify existing functionality following product changes.
    • Configure and maintain test environments, including hardware assembly and system setup.
    • Install, configure, and troubleshoot embedded devices, sensors, communication modules, and related equipment.
    • Perform hardware stress testing, load testing, and maximum-specification performance testing.
    • Document test results, defects, and observations in defect tracking and test management systems.
    • Reproduce and isolate product issues and work with engineering teams to support root cause investigations.
    • Maintain test equipment and laboratory workstations.
    • Participate in test plan reviews and provide feedback on product quality and test coverage.
    • Ensure compliance with established test procedures, quality standards, and documentation practices.
  • Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

    • Associate's Degree in Electronics Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field; or equivalent experience.
    • 0–3 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Product Testing, Electronics Testing, or a related technical role.
    • Basic understanding of electronic circuits and hardware troubleshooting.
    • Experience using or willingness to learn laboratory test equipment, including DVMs.
    • Ability to follow detailed test procedures and accurately document results.
    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
    • Good written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Exposure to software or firmware testing methodologies.
    • Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar systems.
    • Understanding of communication protocols such as Ethernet, RS-485, UART, TCP/IP, or wireless technologies.

    Additional Information

    The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $65,000-$72,000 per year. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.

    In addition to base salary, full-time employees are eligible to participate in Keenfinity Group's (US) Health and Welfare Benefit Plans—including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance—as well as the company’s 401(k) plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the respective plan documents. Full-time employees are eligible to participate in Keenfinity Group’s paid time off and sick leave programs in accordance with applicable policies.
