About the Role We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Real Estate Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience to join our expanding legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse range of real estate matters—commercial finance transactions, zoning, leasing, lending, licensing, and more—with a particular focus on serving the legal needs of community associations, commercial landlords, and property owners. This role should reside in the Western, NY area (Buffalo/Rochester) and is a remote/WFH role. Responsibilities: What You’ll Do • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to: • Commercial real estate purchases and sales • Financing transactions (mortgage refinances, lender documentation, etc.) • Commercial leases (landlord and tenant side) • Draft and negotiate easements and related access agreements • License agreements (including rooftop/cell tower access) • Draft opinion letters and advisory memos on real estate and community association matters • Assist clients with zoning and land use matters, including attending planning or zoning board meetings • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on municipal regulations, zoning ordinances, and permitting issues • Support due diligence and title review in transactional matters • Collaborate with senior attorneys and firm leadership on larger-scale deals and firm initiatives • Interact with clients, property managers, and board members in a responsive and professional manner • Occasionally attend Board meetings for community associations and present legal updates or guidance Qualifications: Who You Are • Admitted to practice law in New York State • 3+ years of relevant real estate transactional experience • Familiarity with community association law, zoning, and local regulatory frameworks is a plus • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong analytical and organizational abilities • Client-focused with an ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment Compensation: $105,000 +/- DOE
