Qualifications
Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant life sciences field (molecular biology, microbiology, biochemistry, etc.)—or applicable industry experience
- Prior experience operating standard laboratory equipment (e.g. pH meters, conductivity meters, pipettes)
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and/or manufacturing protocols
- Familiarity with standard biological and analytical techniques, including PCR, SDS-PAGE, and western blotting
- Interest in and ability to learn protein purification using both manual and automated systems (AKTA platform), depth-filtration, and Tangential Flow Filtration operations
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of laboratory experience in molecular biology, genomics, process development, or production operations.
- Prior experience with protein production and purification in an industrial setting
- Experience performing reagent preparation, dilution calculations, and precise pipetting techniques.
- Experience with PCR and amplicon sequencing workflows, including library preparation and sample indexing.
- Experience handling oligonucleotides, primer pools, or sequencing reagents.
- Experience supporting process development, optimization, or technology transfer activities.
- Experience with functional testing (PCR, LAMP, etc.)
- Experience with bacteria fermentation
