    Job Description:

    Dow Jones powers the business and professional world with news, information and data from our portfolio of iconic brands, including The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, MarketWatch, Investors Business Daily and Factiva. We are seeking an analytical trailblazer with a keen understanding of industry trends and business models to help fuel our long term growth.

    The role entails identifying and quantifying new growth opportunities, guiding strategic business decisions and partnership negotiations with analytical rigor, and collaborating with senior leaders across Dow Jones.

    You will:

    • Work on the Business Analysis team in support of new business ventures and strategic partnerships

    • Derive actionable insights from market research, competitive trends and industry sources.

    • Prepare financial models, business plans, and investment requests.

    • Create C-level presentations that drive decision making.

    • Support deal negotiations, analyze & grow existing partnerships, and help DJ enter new markets.

    • Work in a fast paced environment across all of Dow Jones’ brands and business models.

    • Have exposure to C-suite leaders at Dow Jones/News Corp and key partners at Google, Apple, etc.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Minimum 1 year of experience in media strategy/corporate development, investment banking, consulting, or similar environments

    • BA or BS from a four year accredited college or university

    • Demonstrated experience working with large data sets, performing analysis, creating financial models and creating actionable insights

    • Excellent communication skills and experience presenting to C-suite

    • Entrepreneurial drive and resourcefulness

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 2 or more years of experience in media strategy/corporate development, investment banking, consulting, or similar environments

    • Deep understanding of technology disruption and changing consumer behaviors in the news media.

    NYC Pay Range: $40,000 - $160,000
