    Job Description

    Role Summary and Purpose

    As an Associate Technical Product Owner at NBCUniversal, you will support the development, maintenance, and optimization of live video management systems, encoding platforms, and metadata workflows. This entry-level role is ideal for someone passionate about digital media technology and eager to grow within a fast-paced, innovative environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of live content and accurate metadata across NBCUniversal’s streaming platforms.

    This is a foundational opportunity to gain hands-on experience in technical product ownership while contributing to the success of high-visibility live events and digital video operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in managing the product lifecycle for live video and encoding platforms, including requirements gathering, testing, and documentation.
    • Support the configuration and monitoring of live video workflows and metadata pipelines.
    • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and content teams to ensure accurate and timely metadata delivery.
    • Help track and prioritize feature requests, bug reports, and system enhancements.
    • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives as part of an Agile development team.
    • Maintain product documentation and user guides for internal stakeholders.
    • Monitor system performance and escalate issues as needed to ensure uninterrupted live streaming experiences.
    • Contribute to the development of product roadmaps and release plans under the guidance of the Technical Product Owner.
    • Apply analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and identify opportunities for workflow improvements.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Media Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Strong interest in digital video technologies, live streaming, and metadata systems.
    • Basic understanding of video encoding, streaming protocols, and content management systems is a plus.
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Confluence is a plus.
