About Our Practice and Community
Woodlands Animal Hospital is a privately-owned small companion animal general practice providing full-service care through preventative care, client education, services and diagnostics including digital radiology, in-house labs, surgery, dentistry and ultrasound. Our team of veterinary professionals are passionate about animals and their well-being, and form bonds with each pet that walks through our door. Our philosophy is simple: Provide progressive medicine with compassionate care.
A long-standing staple in the Oldsmar community, we are known for our excellent service and care for our patients and their families. We are currently renovating and expanding our hospital, and are in search of an Associate Veterinarian who would like to be a part of our growth.
We are located in Oldsmar, FL, which is conveniently located near Tampa, Clearwater, and St. Petersburg, offering easy access to top notch restaurants, entertainment, shopping and of course some of the best white sandy beaches in the country. Orlando - home of Disney, Universal Studios, LEGO Land and more - is just a short drive away.
About the Position
As a part-time Associate Veterinarian with Woodlands, you will be primarily responsible for seeing well and sick patients, directing your team of technicians and assistants as to treatment plans, and maintaining excellent medical records for each patient. You will also be responsible for educating clients on the benefits of preventative care and dental care, and promoting related services and products.
Work Schedule
Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8 am - 6 pm and 8 am - 12 pm every other Saturday. Flexibility may be requested to cover the primary doctor’s absences. This schedule is subject to change based on growth needs. After a year with Woodlands, the Associate Veterinarian may have the opportunity to move to full-time.
Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000

About You (Requirements)
The ideal candidate will be well skilled in the science of veterinary medicine, be passionate about comprehensive medical care for their patients, be an advocate for the benefits of preventative and dental care, be excited to join a growing practice and be an integral part of that growth. They will meet the following minimum requirements:
DVM/VMD from an accredited school
Current license in the state of Florida to practice veterinary medicine
Current DEA license
3-5 years of progressive experience in a general practice setting
Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Surgical/Dental experience a plus!
