  • Responsibilities

    We are working on an Associate Vice President position for a brand communications agency in Miami. It is a requirement that the candidate live near the Miami area and commute to the office three days a week. The company is willing to pay relocation from another city.

    Client & Account Leadership
    Owns a portfolio of high-priority accounts and is the senior-most day-to-day relationship holder for clients at the executive level. This person both manages the team as well as sets the tone for how the team shows up, what the work looks like, and how results are communicated. Strong writing is non-negotiable; this role produces client-ready material and raises the standard across the team. Responsible for P&L performance, client satisfaction, and ensuring earned media and creator/influencer results are generated for the client on an ongoing basis.

    Strategy
    Leads strategic thinking across accounts, and executes it. Partners with business leads across the agency to build integrated recommendations and takes the team through a rigorous creative and planning process from brief through to execution-ready ideas.

    Growth
    Generates new revenue both from existing clients and through active participation in new business. Steps into a lead strategist and presenter role when the agency is pitching and works in close partnership with senior leadership to hit the practice's growth targets.

    Finance & Operations
    Manages a billing portfolio of approximately $1.5-2M and holds shared accountability for the broader practice area's financial health. Understands the levers of profitability and makes decisions accordingly.

    People
    Partners with HR to hire well, onboard thoughtfully, and invest in the development of the people they manage.

    Project Management

    • Leads end-to-end project management across integrated PR campaigns, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery
    • Oversees cross-functional teams, aligning strategy, creative, and execution to client objectives
    • Manages project timelines, workflows, and resource allocation across multiple accounts
    • Serves as key liaison between clients and internal teams, driving clear communication and expectations
    • Identifies risks and implement solutions to maintain project momentum and quality standards
    • Develops and refines processes to improve operational efficiency and team productivity
    • Tracks performance metrics and delivers actionable insights to optimize campaign outcomes
    • Mentors junior team members and supports overall team development

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Over 9 years of experience in professional services, communications, or a related field, with meaningful exposure to lifestyle and f&b brands as well as multicultural audiences and markets. You're recognized in your space; senior clients respect your perspective, and peers see you as a leader they admire.

    You communicate with confidence and clarity, whether you're in a boardroom, on a pitch, or working through something complicated with a client. Your writing is sharp, your presentation skills are polished, and you can hold a strategic conversation without a safety net.

    You know how to bring in new business and navigate the inevitable complexity that comes with managing senior client relationships. Budgets don't intimidate you, and you have a track record of delivering within them.

    As a leader, you both manage people as well as develop them. You know how to motivate a team and create an environment where people do their best work.

    A bachelor's degree is expected.
