JOIN OUR INTERDISCIPLINARY TEAM OF ADAPTIVE SKILLS TRAINERS, BEHAVIOR ANALYSTS AND MENTAL HEALTH THERAPISTS.
SOAR teaches adaptive living skills, sexual education and relationship skills to people with developmental disabilities. ADAPTIVE SKILL TRAINERS, Bachelor Level, provides direct instruction to clients, including how to take care of their own body, navigate social relationships and advocate for themselves throughout their daily lives. Trainers also teach basic, intermediate and advanced curriculum on sexuality and relationship skills, such as:
· Prosocial Skills
· Navigating Relationships
· Consent - Giving and Receiving
· Gender Identity and Expression
· And more!
QUALIFICATIONS
· Collaboratively solve problems within a therapeutic team
· Willing to learn unique methods for teaching complex concepts
· Accepting of all sexualities
· Maintain a consistent schedule
· Maintain records of client performance
· Model skills and explain strategies to caregivers
ADAPTIVE SKILLS TRAINER– BACHELOR’S DEGREE
· Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, ABA, counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy or related field
· Minimum 1 year of experience working with people who have developmental disabilities
· Minimum 1 year of implementing adaptive skills strategies with people who have developmental disabilities
REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL POSITIONS
· Successful clearance of state and federal background check
· Copy of diploma, degree or transcript
· Must pass TB test
· First aid and CPR certification within 60-days of hiring
· Reliable transportation, auto insurance that complies with the state minimum policy
· Valid driver’s license in good standing
· Ability to work independently

Company Description
SOAR is a specialized program of The Association of Behavior Consultants. We offer adaptive skills training, social-sexual education, and counseling to people with developmental disabilities and their caregivers. This program is a great resource for people who needs skills-based adaptive skills training, express an interest in having a relationship, be vulnerable to exploitation, have experienced social/sexual trauma, and/or may demonstrate unsafe behavior. This program will also be a great resource for parents who need support navigating the onset of puberty and all that comes along with that. SOAR provides services for children, teens and adults.
