    Assistant Controller

    Location: Northridge

    The Assistant Controller will play a critical role in overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and supporting the organization’s financial health and operational efficiency. This position will partner closely with the Controller and cross-functional leadership to strengthen accounting processes, improve internal controls, and support strategic business initiatives.

    The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting leader with strong experience managing the month-end close, and a track record of building scalable processes in a fast-paced environment.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support and oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and payroll
    • Manage and execute the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
    • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and variance analyses
    • Ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with GAAP
    • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and chart of accounts
    • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting workflows and enhance operational efficiency
    • Assist in developing, documenting, and maintaining accounting policies and procedures
    • Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance across all accounting functions
    • Coordinate and support annual financial audits and other external audit requirements
    • Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial analysis
    • Support management with financial reporting and operational insights
    • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, supporting professional development and team performance

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
    • CPA strongly preferred
    • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience
    • 2+ years of management or supervisory experience preferred
    • Strong understanding of GAAP
    • Advanced Excel skills
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Compensation
    $160,000 per year
