About the Role:
Join KALLMAN AND COMPANY, LLP as an Assurance and Tax Accountant and play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional financial services to our diverse clientele. We are looking for a motivated professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to make a significant impact in the accounting field.
Tax Preparation:
Able to prepare tax returns fully and independently, including but not limited to Individuals, Corporations, Partnerships, S-Corps, LLCs, and Trusts.
Accumulate, analyze, and process financial accounting data to prepare tax returns, estimated tax payments, forecasts, and financial accounting estimates of tax.
Ensure client adherence to compliance-related deadlines such as extensions, tax estimate requirements, tax return filings and other tax-related services.
Maintaining active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, make sure deadlines are met, and lead change efforts effectively.
Prepare adjusting entries and complete trial balances to prepare tax returns.
Protect firm's value by keeping information confidential.
Assurance Accountant:
Perform financial statements Compilation, Review and Audit.
Assess financial statement accounts for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Assist with engagement planning.
Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
Create high quality reports and work papers using appropriate business and technical language.
Qualifications:
Understanding of income tax law, as it relates to individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
Proficiency in preparing tax returns with complex tax issues and multi-state returns.
Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
Experienced in Compilation, Review and Audit engagements (at least 2 years)
Professional, well organized, strong communication skills, responsible and detail-oriented skillset.
Ability to research complex tax issues.
Ability to prioritize and manage time to meet deadlines.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years in tax experience with a 15-professional staff or larger CPA firm.
Minimum 2 years experience in assurance experience
Undergraduate degree. CPA license, a plus.
