    Clearance Required: Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a current and active Top Secret clearance granted by the Department of Defense or an Intelligence Community agency. Must be open to random CI polygraph.

    We are seeking a highly motivated Principal Unified Communications Engineer to join our team on a new contract providing support to a large enterprise IT system in Chantilly, VA.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Resolving Unified Communications user incidents and requests, to include operational voice and video challenges.

    • Resolving issues with vendor-specific multi-level video teleconferencing systems.

    • Managing CUCM, CMS and UC endpoints firmware/software updates.

    • Managing Licensing and Security Certs on all UC products.

    • Managing VCS, CUC, CER, and VBrick.

    • Completing moves/adds/changes according to the specified SLAs.

    • Providing weekly report activities to the manager.

    • Assisting with the installation of local and/or remote data and voice communications equipment to include (but not limited to) voice terminals, video conferencing units, concentrators, minicomputers, central processing units, and facsimiles.

    • Creating and maintaining appropriate documentation, including operational instructions.

    • Working in a team with standardized solutions based on Cisco network equipment around the country and sometimes internationally.

    • Utilizing excellent customer service skills and exceeding customers' expectations.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Meet/exceed position and certification requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technician Level I or Information Assurance Manager Level I.
    • A completed DoD 8570 computing environment certification within 6 months of hire (Cisco CCNA Voice or equivalent certification).
    • Experience with Cisco Voice/Video Endpoints, CUCM version 11.5 or later, CMM, CUC, CER, VCS, TMS, CIMC, VBrick and VMware.
    • Good problem-solving skills: ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Local travel up to 10%.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Experience with CUCM, CMS, CMM, TMS, VMware.

    The physical requirements of this position include:

    • Ability to sit and work in a cubicle on a workstation in a SCIF for approximately eight (8) hours each workday.
    • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers. Must be able to easily exchange accurate information in these situations.
    • Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.

    Education Qualifications:

    • Requires a Bachelor's degree preferably in IT, Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Engineering, or similar field of study

    Years of Experience:

    • 7+ years of experience in information networks and related security concerns with a BS, 5 years of experience required with a Master's degree. Four additional years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
