Are you intelligent and love to work in a fast-paced environment where your commitment to hard work is rewarding and appreciated? Are you the type of person who is curious and loves to learn? Great, we may have the right position for you. Our ideal candidate would have some experience working as an assistant, receptionist, or bookkeeper. They would also have an associate degree or some college because as an assistant it is not about making coffee, answering phones, or watching the executive’s kids - it is about assisting them to stay organized, helping them complete their work, and managing an extremely busy calendar. Helping them could be challenging at times and you should not be shy about communication. You should be the type of person who will call 5 times a day to keep things moving and drive results. Our ideal candidate would also have an understanding of how to manage LinkedIn, Twitter (or X), YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook. There is a balance in social media where you are trying to pass information and not sound too sales-focused. The balance of that is critical we don’t want to lose connections because we are not paying attention to the balance. Again, the numbers matter in social media; you’d understand that balance and use the numbers to improve results. If we were to have you write some copy for the website or social media posting, you could do that because you’re a good writer. Not perfect, but good. If you’re still reading, most likely, you’re competent; that is the main thing we’re looking for. However, we should still define what competency is for us, so please keep reading. The ideal team member would be great at the following items: • Dedicated, focused, and flexible with constantly shifting priorities • Great at communicating with the team • Help complete and manage tasks • Make decisions and be comfortable with being wrong sometimes • Work at a fast pace that keeps up with the executives and the team • Multi-task and see the big picture We want to make sure you are very confident and extremely well-versed in how to use a computer. You must be proficient in Windows 10 or 11, and Microsoft Office. We’d want you proficient enough to do training videos on Outlook and Word and have a decent understanding of Excel. When you take notes, you would use the computer not a pen and paper. If what we have stated doesn’t faze you, keep reading. If you have any doubts, do us both a favor and stop reading so we don’t waste each other’s time. Computer competence is a core skill of this Assistant role, and we run a skills assessment during the hiring process. We would also expect you to communicate professionally and appropriately with clients both verbally and in written form yet can be casual with colleagues and must fit into our company culture of commitment to grow and learn. Last, you’d have some graphic experience, know how to create a one-page flyer, and understand how to use Photoshop and technology. So, if you know websites, social media, and how to do basic graphic design, you are getting hotter. Keep reading. We believe that for a relationship to be successful both people must win. Our team bonds over collectively achieving company goals. We can’t do it alone; we are all an important part of the whole. We want you to understand your strengths and leverage them, but we also expect you to understand your weaknesses, so they don’t blindside you. We don’t look for perfection, we look for people to have personal awareness. Many think they have it, but few do. If you agree so far, we are on track so let’s head to some more details. If we were to ask one of your friends about you and who you are as a person, they would describe you as a person who is always doing your part and you are always looking to help. You love to learn and know who you are as a person. You are comfortable in your own skin. You know you have strengths and weaknesses, and you do not let your weaknesses define you, but you are aware enough to know that sometimes your weaknesses get in your way, and you don’t have a problem owning them when they appear. We know we all slip into our weaknesses, which is part of being human. Last, they would say you always look out for your best interest but don’t want to be the only winner. You want your teammates to win too. A few notes: we need someone to work out of our Georgetown office. This position can start off as part-time but has the potential for full-time. If all of this makes sense to you and you want to learn more about our opportunity, please send us your resume.
