Description:
A global financial services company is searching for an individual who will function as a Business Analyst. The B/A should have significant experience with fixed income instruments and portfolio management processes. Experience using the Aladdin OMS platform is strongly preferred.
The B/A has the primary responsibility to:
Elicit business requirements from Index/ETF business users and subject matter experts;
Define, document and analyze business requirements and document future state workflows;
Write functional specifications and user test cases;
Work with PMs to manage testing initiative, UAT, Pilot and Parallel;
Model the requirements/specifications (functionality and data needs);
Perform business process and workflow designs in conjunction with cross-dependent work streams (including, not limited to, operations, client service, performance, etc.);
Requirements validation, design sessions, configuration and testing activities for the Fixed Income Index/ETF Team;
Assist in operational rollout and support including end-user training and testing.
SUMMARY OF PROJECT:
•Partnering with other BAs/PMs. Accountable for conversion for August go-live date.
•Make sure pulling all business reqs from SMEs/portfolio teams.
•Helping to document current state and future state
•Write test cases or UAT testing documentation.
•Should not be overly technical but should understand business process workflows
•OK with working remotely/virtually

Required Qualifications:
Fixed income – domain knowledge of fixed income – MOST IMPORTANT piece
Aladdin or BlackRock systems; customizing and building workflows within the system.
Project management experience/business analyst experience (5+ years)
Bachelor's Degree
Strong understanding of fixed income products and instruments/processes. Strong knowledge of them within context of OMS. Very strong plus if candidate has experience with Aladdin – Blackrock or Blackrock platforms. Must have project management experience to work with deadlines and keep things on track with multiple parties.
The Business Analyst should have a minimum of 8 years of experience within a financial services firm, with experience of the Fixed Income Index investment platform and processes on BlackRock's Aladdin system. We are looking for experience with change management, documenting workflows and managing testing and training initiatives; Excellent oral and written communication skill; A team player who works well with technical and non-technical resources; Ability to take strategic direction from executive management; Initiative; Ability to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance.
